Founded in 1998, New England Wirecloth Co. (NEWCO) began life as a joint venture between the two major suppliers of woven wire cloth in the Northeast. Located on the Whitney Campus, the purpose built 16,000 square foot facility that is home to NEWCO was completed in the spring of 1999.

In order to preserve the “Customer First” approach to the marketplace, it was necessary for Whitney and Son, Inc. to become the sole owner of NEWCO in 2004. With its arsenal of equipment including (2) 325 ton press brakes, (2) large plate shears, plate roller, overhead crane, and fully equipped fabrication facility, NEWCO’s contribution to the success of Whitney extends far beyond the core of “just in time” supply of 70 different specifications of wire cloth.

NEWCO also manufactures a complete line of complimentary products to the screening market including tension assemblies, rubber covered rails, screen hardware, and complete accessory items for stationary and portable screen plants.
